SMM: Clinical Hypnosis in Pregnancy and Childbirth

This Specialist Certificate is the collaboration between LCCH Asia and Dr Zuhrah Beevi (Phd) who graduated from LCCH Asia and went on to become Asia’s expert in clinical hypnosis and childbirth.

The course is new, exciting and draws upon 200 years of evidence and research into the role of clinical hypnosis and childbirth. In the UK, this method is anticipated by UK midwives, to be standard practice within the next 10 years.

Clinical Hypnosis and Childbirth

The use of hypnotherapy in pregnancy and childbirth is said to be one of the most useful and rewarding applications of hypnosis.

Childbirth is considered psychologically and physiologically challenging for women. Although an epidural provides a pain-free alternative, it does not necessarily result in a satisfying childbirth experience. Today, an increasing number of women (including many celebrities) are electing to use clinical hypnosis during childbirth.
