PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

Professional societies provide opportunities for collegiality, networking, professional standards, public visibility and the opportunities for furthering one’s career.

LCCH Asia and LSČH are members of local, regional and international professional societies as part of our on-going commitment to provide the highest quality of teaching and establish continued support for our students.

We believe that through our associations with the professional organisations listed below, students and graduates can most easily find representation regionally, as well as colleagues who are equally passionate about the benefits of clinical hypnosis and the common values of safe practice.

British Society of Clinical Hypnosis

All LCCH Asia and LSČH students are required to join the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis as student members and to be governed by BSCH code of conduct. By sharing a common code of conduct and ethos students can transfer easily between LCCH centres.

Benefits of Joining a Professional Society

Enhance your network :

Professional societies create a sense of security and trust in the professionalism and common values of the group. Members can feel safe and encouraged to support one another to reach professional goals.

It is a platform to connect with peers, seek professional advice, learn from one another, share ideas and become involved in local and regional conferences.

Take charge of your career :

Associations provide professional representation and are a good platform to explore collaborations, research and even career opportunities. Listing your association membership is also impressive to current or future employers as it shows that you are dedicated to staying connected in your profession.

Broaden your knowledge :

Membership provides access to resource information in the form of access to journals, shared case studies and even through clinical supervision and mentoring. In some cases there are membership advantages such as beneficial rates or promotions.

Code of Ethics :

Your professional society will provide guidelines for your professional conduct and practice. This is useful when legislation governing the practice of clinical hypnosis is reviewed and provides a coherent structure for safe practice and duty of care.

Your Voice :

It is important to remember that your society or association is representing you. So be an active member, take part in discussions and allow your voice to help shape the future of your profession.
