British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH)

The British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) is a British professional body whose aim is to promote and assure high standards in the practice of hypnotherapy. The BSCH Asia is a chapter of the BSCH established to recognize the growing numbers of clinical hypnotherapists in Asia.

The London College of Clinical Hypnosis and LCCH Asia are approved training institutions for clinical hypnosis. LCCH students and graduates are eligible for the following categories of membership :


Diploma students - affiliate membership

Diploma Graduates  - affiliate membership

PractitionerGraduates - full membership

Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists


The BSCH registration for Clinical Hypnotherapists is open to members of the BSCH who have attained a Fellow, Full or Associate member status. Once registered, members may refer to themselves as a "Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist".


Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists may apply to the BSCH to have their names entered into a global and UK register for practicing clinical hypnotherapists.

There is a formal Code of Conduct, which all BSCH Members are required to sign. This ensures that the standards of ethics and professional practices are of the highest standing within the field of hypnotherapy.

Government Recognition of the BSCH

 


The Complementary & National Healthcare Council (CNHC) is the UK voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners established with the UK government. The CNHC's register has been approved as an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. This means CNHC has met the Professional Standards Authority’s demanding standards.uk.


The CNHC provides a UK voluntary register of complementary therapists. All CNHC registered practitioners are entitled to use CNHC’s quality mark, which demonstrates a commitment to professionalism and high standards.

CNHC has agreed that the BSCH may verify applications for CNHC registration. BSCH Asia chapter members who decide to live in the UK may write to the BSCH secretary and request an application form to register with the CNHC.
